em:t, a shining star that burned bright, released some amazing ambient music in its brief existence. It has a hardcore, cultish following, and the original releases are tough (i.e. costly) to come by.
Below is every regular em:t release (except 302 Acid Live).
Because of the generosity of others here and other online caches all of them are separate track versions except those listed below.
The only ones so far not available in separate track versions are:
Lucid Dream 0098
Item 003 Various
Item 004 Various
Item 006 International Peoples Gang
Because these are out of print and command exorbitant prices for original copies (of which the artists will never see a dime), it's a privilege to be a clearinghouse so others can experience this music.

Many of these were released in the U.S. on Instinct Records. Instinct also released several compilation albums representing em:t artists:
em:t explorer (1996) Part1//Part2//Part3//Part4 (320 kbps) Info
em:t Beat Exploration (1998) - Part1//Part2 (320 kbps) Info
And, finally, all the artwork at once:
Part1//Part2//Part3//Part4//Part5//Part6//Part7//Part8//Part9
Some of these albums appear to have been re-released at some point or other but as far as I can tell they are also out of print.
Also, some of the artists are still making music. You can find more information on the tribute site below.
In the meantime, enjoy. It may just whet your appetite enough to track down the originals.
Tribute site (highly informative)
I have originals of these that I can send to you as individual tracks:
ReplyDelete3395 International Peoples Gang
5595 various (no title)
and I've got these that were released on Instinct:
em:t 0094 (1994)
em:t 2000 (2cd comp, 1995)
em:t Explorer (2cd comp, 1996)
em:t Beat Exploration (1998)
I'm pretty sure that the 2 double cd comps are duplicates of imports, I'd have to check the track listings. Anyway, I'll start rippin'zippin' and sendin' to ya. (I hope that others will provide some too - this is really good stuff and was always hard to find!)
thanks
Drew
I've got AppleLossless and AAC versions for undark3396, carl stone1196, and the Explorer, 1197, 2295 and 5595 compilations. I've also got mp3s of 0094, 0095, 0097, 1195, 2000, 2296, 3394. The mp3s are individual tracks (192 or 256k) that I collected from other places.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome to any and all. Thanks for collecting these together.
Drew,
ReplyDeleteYou must have an amazing music collection...
Thanks for jumping in!
Chris,
ReplyDeleteWhatever you wish to share will be appreciated. You can send links or files. Let me know.
Thanks for helping out!
here's a 320 split track rip of Gel-Sol 1104 i just did yesterday:
ReplyDeletehttp://heregoestherollercoaster.blogspot.com/2009/12/gel-sol-music-made-for-you.html
i'll be upping the 302 Acid today and posting. i also think i might have that 302 Acid Live. i'll check.
Just re-ripped em:t 2000 - can verify for sure that cd 2 is the same as the 3394 compilation, the name popped up when I put the cd in.
ReplyDeleteSending you 4 parts for that one - 320 rate creates huge files, but I think it's worth it for this stuff.
Glad to help - I've found a lot of good music here and am definitely happy to pay you back in some wayl
Aorto,
ReplyDeleteI've made 320k mp3s of the lossless files, and packaged together every em:t album I have, but my upload speed is crap. We'd be days waiting for me to get them into my dropbox or on RapidShare. I'll put the files on a FTP site I have direct access to and send you the info. You can take whatever you haven't gotten already. That'll be in about 12 hours or so.
Chris
Man, you guys are great. Can't tell you how cool this is. Much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteJust imagine that all this is going around the blogosphere...information is truly a powerful thing.
1195 & 0097 are here.
ReplyDeleteWould anyone kindly post the artwork to 1195 in high-res?
(I should have a also noted that both albums are a yucky 192kpbs.)
ReplyDeleteKevin,
ReplyDeleteNice find! Learned quite a bit in a few minutes' time.
Thank you for the individual artwork rars.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. All of 'em seemed like a good idea then I learned quickly that lots of people have some of them and don't need it all. Thanks for the idea.
ReplyDeleteI miss this label
ReplyDeleteso, which ones are still single-tracked on here?
ReplyDeletealso, i'm getting ready to post up the Volume comps on my blog. will let you know...
Kevin,
ReplyDeleteMay have to borrow one from ya'. Volume 11 is only 128 kbps. Bummer...
Anyhow, let me know when you get 'em up. I'll link folks to the ones on your blog that aren't posted here.
Great to find these again!
ReplyDeleteYou are my new best friend. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
ReplyDeleteIt should be pointed out that Gas 0095 has been rereleased through microscopics.co.uk (direct link-http://microscopics.co.uk/electronic_music.html#gas0095) and Woob 1194 through http://woob.bandcamp.com/album/woob-1194
ReplyDeleteCould you reupload the artwork collection please?
ReplyDeleteAny chance of a re-upload? I had many of these when they came out, ripped them to mp3 and sold them and that hard drive has crashed since then. Thanks!
